RESEARCH AND
DEVELOPMENT
The Research and Development wing of
Labour India Educational Research Centre is engaged in the formation
of excellent educational methodologies for the good of the world. We
believe that education should mould the students into worthy citizens.
For this purpose, it should not be a mere remembering process. It
should bring up the latent talents in every student. Keeping this
lofty goal in mind the Research & Development division prepares
innovative educational journals and other media for the students
through incessant research .
Around 300 personnel comprising of
educational experts, experienced teachers, child psychologists,
children’s writers and so on work together under one roof in the
state-of-the-art R&D centre here. Prof. S. Sivadas, the well-known and
celebrated writer of children’s literature is adorning the chair of
Chief Editor.
Labour India currently brings out about
36 educational journals every month. These are aimed to aid the
students from pre-primary level to Plus-Two level.
For the Pre-primary level
there are two monthly learning aids, ’Kalippadam’ and ‘Kidz India’ for
Malayalam and English medium students respectively. For the state
syllabus students of classes V to X, both Malayalam and English
magazines are produced. In the Higher Secondary level, journals are
published for Science, Commerce and Humanities streams for both Plus
One and Plus Two .For CBSE students Labour India Journals are
published for classes IX & X.
Labour India is also catering to the
needs of the Tamil Nadu matriculation Class X students as well as for the
Plus Two Science and Commerce students.
Besides, the R&D division also brings
out a variety of products such as yearbooks, children's newspaper,
albums, map kits, classic tales, colouring book, travelogues,
biographies, illustrated stories and so on.
Well-known personalities from different
fields like Dr. M. Leelavathi, Dr. M.M Basheer,
Dr.Venkata Vardan and several other experts constitute the advisory
panel of the Research & Development wing.
The 5000 sq.feet air-conditioned hall
which houses the Research and Development department has all
state-of-the-art facilities. A sophisticated IT Lab is also functioning
here. About 50 visual designers are working here, simultaneously.
A
well-equipped library is another feature of the R&D division. The
library contains thousands of rare reference books,
National&International journals and a rich collection of CDs. A
computerized digital library is also functioning here. This would serve as an information house where one can obtain latest information regarding
every subject. This information bank and internal facilities will
provide service to the experts in Labour India, as well as to the
teachers, students and the general public outside. |
